‘Free As Air II’, a good example of the popular Jeanneau Sun 2000 with reconditioned trailer.

Thanks to a flush fitting, easy to operate, swing keel this cruiser/racer  floats in only 30cm of water with the keel up so its simple to launch and recover. Not only this but these Sun 2000’s can be easily beached, making them popular for creek explorers and families with young children.  Yet, 1.6m of draught with the keel down provides plenty of pointing ability under sail and a contemporary hull shape makes this little boat very slippery off the wind too. A huge cockpit can accommodate a decent group of friends or family and there is room below for 4 with a v-berth in the bow and two giant quarter berths under the cockpit benches.

Free As Air II comes with a range of features including:

  • A comfort kit consisting of cushions, with in-fill for the v-berth, and a galley.
  • A recently refurbished road trailer
  • A mast lifting kit
  • Roller furling genoa
  • Lazy jack system for the main
  • A solar panel for battery charging
  • Raymarine depth and log
  • A 12v electrics system with cabin lighting and mast top light

An Epropulsion Spirit 1.0 Long Shaft electric outboard with battery is available by separate negotiation.

In 2021 this boat had a full overhaul including:

  • New standing rigging
  • Full trailer overhaul including new 1.8t axle, brakes, cables and bearings
  • New leisure battery
  • New mast top-light and cabling
  • New internal joinery and varnishing
  • New flexi-glass forehatch.
