Talisman offers something genuinely different to the superlight trailer sailer category – genuine seakeeping capabilities, even when it gets gnarly. This mini long keeler is categorised as ‘B’ Offshore – a rarity in yachts of this size. So, even crossing the channel is a serious option.

Ofcourse, beyond her safety credentials Talisman has much to commend her.  This is a charming, easy-going pocket cruiser that puts a smile on the face of all who see and sail in her. She is a handsome little boat, built by traditional shipwrights on the Isle of Wight. At 2 tonnes, the long keel hull gives a calm motion and, in a blow, Talisman will manage 5-6knots very solidly. Due to her hull shape and shallow 1m draught she will settle into drying creeks or even the beach.

Talisman was a demonstrator model for Yarmouth Yachts so she comes exceptionally well equiped. Despite her tradional style she sports a bermudan sail plan, (new) lazy bag, single line reefing main and roller reef foresail. So, safe, short handed sailing can be done from the safety of the deep cockpit.  Sails are in lovely condition.

The interior is well laid out with 4 berths, galley, sink, porta-potti, ample storage and a good quality finish throughout. Shorepower is all set up for running 240v appliances. She is ideal for two enjoying solid passage making or lazy blue-sky leisurely sails.

Auxilliary power is from the 2021 Tohatsu 6Hp four-stroke (very low hours). Alternatively, a brand new Yamaha 6HP outboard is available by seperate negotiation.

Talisman boasts a fully tailored winter cover and a recently fully refurbished 4 wheel trailer.

Coming with full documentation since launch, Talisman is a rare and delightful find.
