Announcing a New Astus Boats Flagship! Monday 4th December 2023

Arriving soon, the Astus 26.5!

As a result of another collaberation with world renowned naval architects, VPLP, Astus Boats have announced the imminent arrival of  their biggest boat yet, the 26.5.

Bringing together the latest in VPLP design with the tried and tested Astus Boats features, this new boat promises to be a major hit. VPLP have once again increased the size of the floats compared to previous models, added concave bows and created a 5.8m wide safe sailing platform. Yet, thanks to the application of the famous Astus telescopic float system the new model can be quickly shrunk to 3m for marina berthing and 2.52m for towing on the road. The swinging keel and rudder blades make this boat simple to launch and recover, even in shallow water. Weighing in at just a little over 1 tonne, this new Astus will be the lightest 26 footer in its class, so, customers won’t need a large 4×4 to tow it to faraway cruising destinations.

This Astus will be no slouch either. The light, fast-planing, spray deflecting hull  coupled with a generous sail area promises to make this Astus 26.5 a high end performer. The helm position in the cockpit is behind the traveller for  simple control of the powerful main and, with the addition of coamings, the cockpit offers comfort and protection in equal measure with lots of easily accesible stowage to boot. Naturally both the helmsman and crew will be able to lounge on the large trampolines for that ‘gliding on air’ feeling.

Down below this new 4 berth flagship model offers even more headroom than smaller models and, with the option to separate the forecabin and heads, improved privacy too. The cabin will feature a galley with icebox to make cruising a comfortable experience.

The exciting new Astus 26.5 will be available from only €90,000 inc VAT – a remarkably affordable trimaran!

Astus Boats expect to have their first 26.5 ready by the Summer of 2024 and expect to start delivery of new boats in 2025.
