A brand new Astus 20.5 stock boat with lots of extras for a drive-away price of only £37,500!

This 20.5 trailerable trimaran is now available in the UK and ready for the 2024 Summer through Boats on Wheels .

These, world renowned, VPLP designed trimarans can produce blistering speeds on a wide, stable platform. Yet, the floats can be retracted in minutes to a trailer-friendly 2.5m width, making them ideal for taking to your favourite sailing destinations. Requiring no ballast, these lift keel multihulls weigh only half a tonne, half the typical weight of their monohull counterparts. Not only does this create speed on the water but it also enables towing behind a small family car!

A powerful sail plan supported by sturdy rigging and coupled to huge buoyant floats means that the Astus 20.5 can be reefed relatively late – more speed, more range. Yet, even nervous crew members will enjoy the dry, near-horizontal ride offered by these wide trimarans. The cockpit is designed to make single handed sailing simple, even when flying the optional gennaker.

Despite its diminutive stature the Astus 20.5 offers space down below for a crew of two.  A long v-berth accommodates even the tallest adults and there is space below for a portable toilet. And if you want to bring the kids, then do as the French do – pitch a tent on the trampolines!

The Astus 20.5 stock boat which we have on site right now already has a long list of options included:

• A lighter, faster resin infused hull – this boat weighs only 490kg including the rig!
• Unbraked ‘break-back’ road trailer with mast transport post and lights board
• A larger cross-cut Sports rig with fully battened square top main and furling jib
