Beneteau First 210 – Excellent Sails!

Just sold!  Blue B, this Beneteau First 210 trailerable cruiser/racer is in excellent condition and comes complete with everything to sail away.

The First 210 was the first model in Beneteau’s highly successful 21′ model range. The model combined of a 6 foot deep, fully ballasted lifting keel and twin rudders which gave these pocket rockets great pointing ability and stiffness. As a result these mini yachts are still highly prized by regatta sailors. Yet, the First 210s offer plenty of comfort and safety with all lines leading back to the ergonomically designed cockpit. The First 210 provides room for 4 adults to sleep down below in a roomy cabin, with; lots of storage space, a chemical wc under the cockpit sole and a galley/storage space amidships.

Blue B benefits from a good inventory to start sailing straight away. She has:

• Excellent sails – both white sails are relatively recent additions – still crisp with little sign of wear. The furling jib has a UV strip and the main sail is protected by a good quality sail cover.
• An ‘as-new’ spinnaker – the symmetric spinnaker looks like its never been out of its bag! The kit comes complete with sheets, alu pole, pole uphaul and pole downhaul.
• Two outboards – a 2014 Mariner 5hp 4 stroke long shaft and the original 5hp 4 stroke, both work fine and benefit from an external fuel tank.
• Electrics including Raymarine log/depth, leisure battery with solar panel and charge controller, mast-top lights and switch panel.
• Everything needed for mooring and anchoring – lines, fenders, anchor with chain and warp.
• Free pontoon mooring on the Itchen River, Southampton included up until end March 2024.

Blue B has clearly been well looked after. Her hull and deck are very clean for her age and she is leak free.
She came out of the water last Summer for inspection, polishing and antifouling (see pics). Her keel winding gear operates silently and rudder brushes have recently been replaced. Much of her running rigging has also just been renewed. The main sail is currently being valeted. Judging by the cleanliness and lack of wear her cabin cushion covers are clearly a recent addition too.
