Hunter Legend 26 + Twin Axle Trailer

Just arrived on site, Lily K, a Hunter Legend 26 with road trailer.

The Hunter Legend 26 was a popular design for Hunter Marine with over 700 built before they were eventually replaced by the 260. These American built cruisers gained their popularity due to the massive amount of well lit internal space that they contain in the cavernous cabin. Couple this with a lifting keel and water ballast and you get a 26 footer which is genuinely trailerable and can even be beached. Perfect for families who want to take their accomodation on holiday with them!

Characterised by a large open 6 berth cabin featuring ‘u’ shaped seating around a huge central table this boat could easily seat 8 people. A generous galley to starboard and a heads compartment to port are designed to leave plenty of space to move around with access to the giant double berth at the back.

Up top, the rig is light and simple for easy mast stepping and un-stepping. Sails and control lines are simple to rig and manage. Lily K is fitted with a mainsail stack-pack style lazy jack system as well as headsail furling for easy handling and safety. The 900l of water ballast provide a comforting level of stability underway.  When its time to tow Lily K home, just jettison the ballast and tow only what you need – around 1.6t.

Lily K was a demonstrator at the Southampton Boat Show and first commissioned in 1997. She has been enjoyed by the current owner on fresh water for over 20 years but he is now reluctantly forced to sell. Lily K comes very well equipped, including:

• A little used 8HP Tohatsu outboard engine with separate tank and charging coil
