Offered for sale only 6 weeks ago this immaculate 2008 example of the popular Jeanneau Sun 2000 trailer sailer, ‘Bejac’, is now sold by Boats on Wheels. This beautifully presented boat is probably the most highly specced example of the Jeanneau Sun 2000 we’ve come across. She has everything to suit racers, cruisers and short-handed sailors alike.

Thanks to a flush fitting, easy to operate, swing keel and rudder this cruiser/racer  floats in only 30cm of water with the keel up so it is simple to launch and recover. Not only this but these Sun 2000’s can be easily beached, making them popular for creek explorers and families with young children.  Yet, 1.6m of draught with the keel down provides plenty of pointing ability under sail and a contemporary hull shape makes this yacht very slippery off the wind too. A huge cockpit can accommodate a decent group of friends or family and there is room below for 4, with a v-berth in the bow and two giant quarter berths under the cockpit benches.

Bejac has been owned by the same family since she was new with comprehensive documentation to prove it. She has the Jeanneau ‘Comfort’ package with cabin/cockpit table, floorboards, electrics and immaculate cushions throughout and, being a later model she comes with the favoured swing rudder. The owners have meticulously maintained and upgraded her over the years so that she is now one of the best examples of a Jeanneau Sun 2000 that we’ve ever been able to offer.

To mention just a few of the features of this boat, she comes with:

  • An Elvstrom asymmetric spinnaker with retractable bowsprit, sheets and blocks.
  • A Crusader symmetric spinnaker with spinnaker pole, mast track, bespoke sheets and blocks
  • Quantum part-battened, slab-reefed cruising main sail with Jeanneau cover
  • Quantum roller reefed jib on Jeanneau’s bomb proof furler
  • Cockpit-width mainsheet traveller with integrated chartplotter console
  • Harken jib tracks/cars with control lines and cleats
  • A total of 10 coachroof clutches so all other control lines are led back to the cockpit
  • Large rotating Garmin Echomap 75cv chartplotter, also showing depth, easily accessible to the helmsman
  • Raymarine  ST60 Speed and Wind transducers and display instruments
  • Raymarine ST 1000 tiller pilot (complete but final fitting required)
  • Boom strut
  • Stainless steel recovery ladder
  • Rudder stock hand tightening bolt and tiller in-lays for play-free steering
  • Centre mooring cleats
  • Cockpit sunshade
  • Cockpit cushions
  • Cockpit storage bag
  • Red ensign flag
  • 10kg anchor 15m of 8mm chain and warp
  • Ballast plate epoxied in and hull fully gel-shielded – this boat is super slippery!
  • Extensive electronics package with 2 leisure batteries, RCD protected shore-power charging and full switch panel
  • ICOM IC-M411 VHF Radio with mast-head and spare antennae
  • Kenwood sound system with cabin and cockpit speakers
  • Jabsco marine heads
  • Electric and manual bilge pumps
  • Excellent De Graaff rollercoaster single axle trailer with fresh brakes, light board, lock and straps (trailer not salt water immersed since 2009)
  • Rarely used Honda 5HP 4-stroke long shaft outboard with external tank and flushing fitting
  • and lots more to mention!

Bejac has been superbly well maintained by one family from new. The white topsides gleam and every moving and standing part has been meticulously serviced on a regular basis by owners who knew what they were doing. The keel has been routinely removed for annual servicing with keel brushes and pins always renewed when required, rigging screws have been replaced, electric re-wiring has been done, coachroof electrics have been protected, antifouling applied (most recently September 2025), trailer brakes have been replaced (2026), the list goes on. Of course, being owned from new Bejac comes with complete paperwork and manuals for all equipment. View a video tour of BEJAC here.

The combination of such a high specification and meticulous care on a recent example of a Jeanneau Sun 2000 is extremely rare. This boat wasn’t around for long and is now sold.
