Our Astus 20.5 demonstrator is coming! Thursday 24th September 2020
We’re excited to announce that we picked up our new Astus 20.5 demonstration boat from the factory in Brittany yesterday. Although Astus boats are not new to us, we followed the same process that Astus customers would go through if they wished to pick up their boat in France. Under cover of their high factory roof in Brech, the Astus founder, Jean Hubert Pommois, explained in detail how the boat was rigged and prepared for launch. He also demonstrated the Astus mast raising kit by lowering the mast and helped prepare our boat for the road. With its floats on telescopic arms the light weight Astus 20.5 trimaran shrinks to a road legal 2.5m width in no time – as with all Astus boats we found it a very easy model to tow.
Now back in the UK, the mandatory period of two weeks self isolation to curb the spread of Covid 19 begins. We will therefore be ready to take bookings for viewings and trial sails from the 8th October. So book your visit now – the countdown begins!
